Board Rule Making Fees

The Board held a Rule Making hearing on November 24, 2009, to hear comments from the public on one proposed Rule Making filing. At a special meeting immediately following the hearing, the Board adopted changes to Board rule WAC 4-25-530 (Fees).

The Board changed the originally proposed language by:

  • Deleting fee amounts that are set by third party providers
  • Inserting an explanation that third party providers set, collect, and retain the section and administrative fees charged to candidates applying to take the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examinations.

Where may I find the amended rule as adopted?
On December 16, 2009, the Washington State Register will publish the Rule Making Order (CR 103) and the text of the changes to the rule.

When will the changes become effective?
The changes to the rule will take effect on December 25, 2009.
