Announcement of New Executive Director

Governor Jay Inslee appointed David Trujillo, CPA as the Executive Director of the Washington State Board of Accountancy effective April 1, 2021. 

David is currently the Executive Director of the Washington State Gambling Commission, where he has worked since July 1992.  He has enjoyed a long and distinguished career at the Gambling Commission, while also serving as a member of the Washington Army State Guard. His work as a special agent and as the director has earned him awards from the Secretary of State, the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Washington Military Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

David will replace Charles Satterlund, CPA who retired on  January 31, 2021.
