New Board Member Appointment

The Governor has appointed Brooke Stegmeier, CPA as the newest member of the Washington State Board of Accountancy beginning on June 10, 2020, replacing the seat being vacated by long serving Board Member, Thomas Neill, CPA.  Brooke provides a unique perspective derived from her experience in the health care industry. This experience includes dealing with mergers, acquisitions, bond financing, capital projects, and budgeting and forecasting. She has also lead teams working through reorganizations, reductions in force, EMR and accounting system integrations.

Brooke stated that as a new Board member she hopes to bring the perspective of business, and advocate that as a Board we challenge ourselves to craft rules or advice that is operationally relevant and efficient, that we look broad and deep to understand the implications of our decisions.

Please welcome Brooke as our newest member.
