Pro-Equity Anti-Racism (PEAR)
Our statutory purpose is to promote the dependability of financial information. To do this, we ensure that CPAs are qualified and provide professional-level services.
We are committed to embed the Pro-Equity Anti-Racism (PEAR) framework outlined in Executive Order 22-04 in our decision-making and actions, and to carrying out the Governor’s mission to create an anti-racist Washington across state government.
Our purpose is to create a PEAR ecosystem that embraces equity, inclusion, trust, access, respect, and belonging.
Our internal PEAR team drives efforts to develop our advisory group and serves as a point of contact between the community and our agency.

These two teams will meet virtually to coordinate and discuss PEAR efforts which inform decision-making. For more information, visit our PEAR Recruitment page. Please contact us if you are interested in participating.
