Impact

The Office of Equity has been taking action to plain talk the language of the Pro-Equity Anti-Racism (PEAR) initiative to better connect with Washingtonians. Moving forward, PEAR will now be referred to as “Impact.”

We will be working to update our communications and website to reflect these changes. In the meantime, you may still see our Impact work referred to as PEAR.

What is Impact?

We use data to show that our work is making real, positive changes in people’s lives in Washington. This includes ensuring that power, opportunities, and resources are shared fairly. Our main goal is to improve how people live and thrive in Washington communities.

As stated by the Office of Equity, we are here to create systems of change in state government so that we can build a Washington for All, where everyone has access to what they need to thrive. So, while our language is changing, our mission and vision remain unchanged – our purpose unwavering.
